Who am I?

Who am I?  I am Sara!

I am married to a great guy who was spoiled with homemade Czech food growing up so I am attempting to be a good Czech wife by making him comfort food and converting those recipes into healthier versions.  

I am partly paleo.  What does that mean?  It means that I really want to go paleo and get all healthy but I haven't given up cheese yet.  Or real cream.  I am eating the organic, good versions of those items I just can't give up.

I have a desire to be healthy. This means buying really expensive stuff at Whole Foods and I look forward to sharing the best of those finds with you guys.

I am a graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco.  This qualifies me to burn stuff like water and salad.... oh and myself quite often.  I love food.  I love creating it, eating it, thinking about it every second of the day - my next meal is often my motivation.  I think about dinner while I'm eating breakfast.  Yes, I am a little sick in the head.

While I have a cooking degree, I am not a professional in any manner.  I make my money selling houses and I cut myself less writing contracts which I like.  I was born and raised in the SF Bay Area - potentially 8th generation if you believe my mom.  I love all things cheesy - especially Las Vegas and clothes that sparkle.  I am a geek, a reader, a knitter, a sailor, and now a blogger.
